I was unaware that University ACE Hardware had a complete lawnmower service center. Unlike some other national ACE stores, that perhaps concentrate on only one brand repairs, this location services various brands and models of mowers. I learned about this location from a very satisfied fellow retiree, who recently had his John Deere zero turn mower serviced here. My first contact with this location about a potential repair, was over the phone with Josh, from the service department. Josh took his time and explained the available services. He enthusiastically answered that his center serviced Husqvarna zero turn mowers. My last unaffiliated - out of town, small engine mechanic, diagnosed my mower’s problem as possibly “a clutch” and “rod thrown” in the engine. As a second opinion, I carried my mower to University ACE Hardware. About a week later, as promised, Josh phoned me with an evaluation. He advised that it was certainly NOT the engine, but a bad clutch. Josh also checked the engine’s pressure PSI (pounds per square inch) and determined the engine to still be in good shape. I ok’d the repair to include mower tracking and deck leveling adjustments. As promised, I rece

I bought some paint from the discounted area in the back of the store. Took it to paint counter to shake it up. The guys in the store said they can't shake paint that wasn't bought in store. After I explained to the workers that I got the paint from the back of the store (stix) a Ben Moore product. Asked for a manager explained to him. He said Stix is not a Ben Moore product. Training is much needed in the store from top to bottom.

I stopped by Ace Hardware recently and had a really great experience. Lex was super helpful and friendly from the moment I walked in. They took the time to answer my questions and made sure I found exactly what I needed without making me feel rushed. It’s honestly refreshing to get that kind of customer service. I’ll definitely be coming back!

The only hardware chain with real service. Top products for painting and refinishing furniture, wife loved the garden center.. absolutely one of my favorite stores to go to. really enjoyed springtime selection for yard and garden. more knowledge and experience under this roof than both of the big box stores combined
